Product description

Cassegrain telescopes combine the benefits of a Newtonian telescope with the short construction associated with a catadioptric lens. The short lens tube guarantees good vibration behaviour on the mount and easy transportation.

Thanks to their long focal lengths, Cassegrain telescopes are predominantly suited to photographing the Moon, planets and small yet bright planetary nebulae - this is where Cassegrains really come into their own! Of course, it is also possible to visually observe galaxies and star clusters using this telescope.

Further advantages:

  • Fast cooling and few dew problems thanks to its open lens tube
  • No mirror shift, as the primary mirror is securely fastened and focusing takes place using a high-quality focuser with reduction
  • The focuser also offers generous back focus for astronomical accessories
  • Bright image thanks to dielectric reflection. High contrast due to few obstructions (secondary mirror shadowing)
  • Compact construction for travel and for easy mounting
