bScope
The well-equipped bScope series of microscopes are used intensively for research purposes in secondary schools, universities, small laboratories and for veterinary applications. Besides their excellent ergonomic design, these robust and reasonably priced microscopes are available in various configurations with HWF 10x/20 mm eyepieces and objectives for bright field and phase contrast use.

An ergonomic and flexible design with ergonomic features such as height-adjustable eyepieces and low-positioned stage controls reduce fatigue during long working sessions. This ensures more comfort for the microscope user. The bScopes’ robust and compact size, together with their integrated cable storage system, gives the user more space to work, safer operation, and easier storage.
EYEPIECES Secured wide field HWF Plan 10x eyepieces with 20mm field of view. The monocular model’s eyepiece is supplied with a pointer.
HEAD The bScope is equipped with a monocular head with a 45° inclined tube (Ø 23.2 mm tubes) or a Seidentopf head which is 360° rotatable and equipped with 30° inclined tube and Ø 23.2mm. Binocular and trinocular models have a ± 5 dioptre adjustment on the left eyepiece. The interocular distance is adjustable between 48 and 76mm. The trinocular head comes with a Ø 23.2mm tube. The tube guarantees maximum flexibility. It has a fixed light path beam splitter (20:80) and generates an upright image. The digital bScope microscopes are equipped with a 5.0 MP 1/2.5-inch CMOS USB-2.0 camera (2592 x 1944 pixels).
NOSEPIECE Reversed 4 or 5-piece objective revolver.
OBJECTIVES - 45 MM PARFOCAL Highly advanced production techniques and multi-layer coatings used to manufacture the bScope objectives allow the bScope to be used for the most demanding applications. World-class spherical aberration correction and modern CNC and assembly technology ensure the perfect centring of the objectives. Bright field models: E-Plan, Plan, E-Plan IOS infinity corrected, Plan IOS infinity corrected 4x/0.10, 10x/0.25, S40x/0.65 and S100x/1.25 oil immersion objectives. 20x/0.40 and 60x/0.85 optional. Phase contrast models: E-plan phase, E-plan phase IOS infinity corrected, plan phase IOS infinity corrected 10x/0.25, 20x/0.40, S40x/0.65 and S100x/1.25 oil immersion objectives. Dark field models: E-Plan 4x/0.10, 10x/0.25, 20x/0.40, S40x/0.65, S60x/ 0.85 objectives. The S100x/1.25 oil immersion objective has a built-in iris diaphragm. All S40x, S60x and S100x immersion oil objectives are spring-loaded. All lenses are anti-fungus treated and AR coated to ensure maximum light throughput.
FOCUS ADJUSTMENT Double coaxial, low-position coarse and fine focus knobs with 180 graduations. Precision 1.11 µm, 200 µm per rotation, total travel range approx. 19mm. Supplied with an adjustable rack stop to prevent damage to the specimen and objective. The coarse adjustment is equipped with friction control.
STAGE The bScope has a scratch-resistant 152/197 x 131 mm stage, equipped with integrated 75 x 36mm X-Y rackless mechanical stage, vernier scale, and soft-close removable sample holder. The rackless stage has no protruding parts which allows smoother movements and is safer to use. A low-positioned X-Y control knob prevents incorrect operation during intensive, longer working sessions. The bScope can also be supplied with a heating stage, which can be adjusted up to 50 degrees Celsius with a PID temperature controller. Only available for newly purchased microscopes.
CONDENSER FOR BRIGHT FIELD The height-adjustable standard Abbe N.A. 1.25 condenser for bright field comes with iris diaphragm and a swing-out filter holder.
CONDENSER FOR DARK FIELD A state-of-the-art condenser with reflective cardioid mirrors and an integrated high-power 5W LED light source. Together with an S100x objective with built-in iris diaphragm, this provides a 1000x magnification dark field solution. The power supply for the 5W LED light source is built into the microscope. The dark field condenser can be easily replaced with a bright field condenser which is also included.
ZERNIKE CONDENSER FOR PHASE CONTRAST The height-adjustable Zernike 1.25 phase contrast condenser comes with phase ring spaces for 10/20/S40x and S100x objectives, an iris diaphragm and a filter holder. The condenser also has a bright field position for bright field microscopy. Phase contrast objectives in either EPL, EPLi phase or phase PLI versions. The scope of delivery includes an alignment telescope and green filter.
POLARISATION The bScope has an integrated slot above the nosepiece for an optional polarisation filter.
ILLUMINATION NeoLED combined. The bScope series of microscopes are equipped with an adjustable illumination system and a 3W NeoLED for increased light output. Optionally, the microscope can be supplied with 3 rechargeable batteries for cordless use.
KÖHLER ILLUMINATION The Köhler illumination for all IOS infinity-corrected models ensures the highest contrast and the maximum achievable resolution. Generates uniform illumination of the sample and eliminates any effects from dust on lens surfaces and/or side glare from the light source. Köhler illumination is optional for non-IOS models.
NEOLED™ ILLUMINATION The 3W adjustable Köhler NEOLED diascopic illumination has an internal 100-240V power supply, which supports a wide range of applications. The innovative NeoLED offers larger apertures so that the bScope microscope’s optical system can display images at higher resolution. A further advantage of NeoLED is its low energy consumption, no heating and a long service life.
DARK FIELD EQUIPMENT The BS.1153-EPL/DF is equipped with a dark field oil immersion cardioid mirror condenser with integrated 5W LED illumination and a PL S100x plan oil immersion objective with built-in iris diaphragm.
BSCOPE DIGITAL BS.1157-PLI_B Binocular model. Swivelling 2-position ergonomic head. Integrated 5.1 MP CMOS colour USB.2 camera - 2592 x 960 pixels, 7 frames per second (1280 x 1944 pixels), 27 frames per second (2592 x 1944 pixels). ImageFocus Alpha software.
CAMERA The digital bScope microscopes are equipped with a 5.1 MP 1/2.5-inch CMOS USB-2.0 camera, 24 bit colour depth, 7 frames per second (2592 x 960 pixels) or 27 frames per second (1280 x 1944 pixels). The dynamic range is 76dB and the signal-to-noise ratio is 41dB. Supplied with ImageFocus Alpha software, USB 2.0 cable and 1mm / 100 micron calibration slides.
SOFTWARE The ImageFocus Alpha capture and analysis software allows you to store images in JPG, TIF, BMP, or DICOM formats, as well as video in AVI format. Measurements and annotations can be made on live or on captured images. Compatible with Windows 10 and later, 32- and 64-bit configurations. A Mac OS version is also available. Free updates can be downloaded from our website. Further specifications are identical to the bScope® models.
CORDLESS USE The optional AA batteries transform the microscope into a cordless system.
CSS CABLE STORAGE SYSTEM The bScope allows the user to simply store the power cable in the back of the device. This prevents excess cable length and creates a safer working environment. Retract the cable completely for easy storage.
ANTI-THEFT SLOT A Kensington Security Slot is located on the back of the microscope to allow the instrument to be protected from theft.
CARRYING HANDLE The integrated carrying handle on the back of the microscope ensures safe transport of the microscope.
PACKAGING Intelligent polystyrene packaging ensures maximum safety during transport. Supplied with power cable, dust cover, spare fuse, white filter, operating instructions and 5 ml immersion oil. Phase contrast models are supplied with green filter and alignment telescope.
